Father's Day

Since our daddy is the best daddy in the whole world, we decided we better make him feel pretty darn special. So to start the day out right, a little homemade 'breakfast in bed' was in order. We all gathered round him in bed to watch him indulge in his bacon & eggs, and read his hand picked card which read of thoughts of love and promises of a 'shiny new bicycle' {can't wait to go pick it out!} It was a glorious morning... until he threw away the rest of my eggs {man they were tasting so good too}. But I forgave him because after all, it was father's day.

We spent the afternoon with my family and stud-muffin of a dad, which was wonderful. Later, we headed out to spend the remainder of the day with my totally-rad father-in-law Benjamima!

Parker enjoying his very first ice cream cone... de-ricious!!

Nic and Matt... if you look closely you can see the drool creeping from the corner's of Nic's mouth. He wants one of those things SO bad. One day honey... one day.

Nothin' beats a nice ride on the 'hog' to celebrate your day, right? And they ride off into the sunset...

Nic and his daddy
I hope you daddy's in my life all had a wonderful day, because well, you are wonderful- and you deserve it!! Know how much we love and appreciate everything you do for us. What a blessing it is to be surrounded by such great father's. We love you!!

Kaden's 6th Birthday!

Kaden woke up to find his gifts wrapped and waiting for him on the kitchen table. More Lego's(of course), and a sweet new bike! At that point, all of his birthday wishes had come true and the day could be deemed a success. But there was more... Mimi and Papa met us for lunch at Kaden's favorite- Cafe Rio. We had a great time eating and gabbing.
Of course there were cupcakes involved...
And we sang happy birthday. Since Rylie had to share her day, we figured we would throw another birthday song in there for her too.

Parker thouroughly enjoyed his cupcake...
The afternoon was spent riding his new bike...
And he was paid a visit from his Gramy & Papa...
Which meant more cupcakes, and more singing... Yay!!
And then it was off to the bowling alley for a fun-filled evening.
We bowled, and jammed out to Michael Jackson's music video's...
These kids love to bowl!!
Kaden and his best buddy... his daddy! (he is always telling Nic that he is his best buddy.)
And that's a wrap!!
Happy Birthday Kade-man. You are the greatest boy, and we love you more than you'll ever know!!

Rylie's 4th Birthday!!

Well it was birthday week at our house once again. Kaden turned 6 and Rylie turned 4!! I really can't believe it, my babies are growing up. On Rylie's actual birthday we had a big family party to celebrate them both. We had such a great time as always. We just love when the family comes to play!! Gramy and Papa with Kade and Kole...
Alie Jo helping Ry-bug out with the reading of her birthday card... too cute!
Rylie's birthday cake {she really wanted a spider man cake, but I somehow persuaded her to go with something a bit more feminine at the last minute. whew!}
I don't like those 4 candles on the top of her cake! Yipes!!
Singing Happy Birthday to Kaden and Rylie...
Kaden's Wall-E cake. I'm not a big fan of those 6 candles on top of his cake either! What happened to my little babies? They are growing up way too quick!
Kole-man helpin' the Kade-man out with his birthday candles... what a cuz.
Papa and Mimi... Love the princess crown Papa.
Candace and her cute family...
Parker hangin' with his daddy and uncle Matt...
Steph and the Bodester... he sure loved those balloons.
Ry-bug decorating her princess crown... she was working hard and doing a fabulous job!
Papa and Rylie
If this isn't the best birthday squeezes EVER... what a lucky girl to have such great cousins!!
It was such a special day. Happy Birthday Rylie!! We love you more than you'll ever know!

Swim Lessons

This year we had Kaden and Rylie in swim lessons, which made it really fun. They both did awesome considering the circumstances. I was so proud of the way they both jumped in there and did their best! Here is Rylie in her little class...
Splashing, Splashing, Splashing!!

Kaden and his friend Stockton hanging out after their lessons.
And Parker just enjoying himself some fresh strawberries by the side of the pool. Thank you to the Hearne's for being so gracious with their garden.

Nic's Man-Date

Our dear next door neighbors the Driggs' moved away last month... and so the boys decided they had better get some good quality time in before Ryan left. The result: A glorified Man-Date. Here is the crew just before heading off to dinner and a movie. A few of them began to grumble, "Oh, not a picture!" to which I simply replied, "Shut up and smile- this picture is about as gay as the date you are about to go on!" I didn't have any more back talking after that.
Nic and his friends out on the rip sticks...
It is so funny to see all of these dad's out there racing down the street on "their kids'" rip sticks. That one is supposedly Kaden's (in about 5 years when he can actually ride it!) ha ha...
We will sure miss the Driggs family!

Memorial Weekend

We spent Memorial Weekend up at Gramy & Papa's cabin. It was such a great time as always...
{besides the part where we woke up Saturday morning and my purse and Nic's wallet were missing from our car and we spent the remainder of the day searching for our personal belongings along the side of the road). I think I must have "Steal My Purse Please" written across my forehead or something- I don't know. Anyways, back to the FUN part of the trip.}
Rylie and Parker are thrilled to be getting their picture taken.
This was our attempt at getting a cousin picture... pretty dang cute if you ask me. They had so much fun together.
Squirt guns in the rain is always a good combination...
Parker enjoying some Red Vine goodness...
Papa gave endless rides on the Rhino...
Koda Bear was so happy to be playing with his friend Calli...
Oh?? More tears?? Just keep smiling everyone. We played some serious bingo...
Rylie was a great helper...
Lots of Lego building going on I tell ya... these two are the absolute cutest together...
My Parker boy... what an angel. I could eat him with a spoon...
Rylie... that smile is saying, "Papa is taking me down to the KOA to get another treat." By the way, who in the world puts beer salt right next to the candy? Seriously. What is beer salt? It was packaged in the cutest little bottle container, I can see why she picked it. Papa is kind of a pushover. "But that's what she wanted," he says. Ha ha...
That face... priceless...
Parker and Bodester having a nice bath together... they are getting to be such good buds... I just love it.
More great memories... thank you everyone for coming to our rescue in our time of need. We really love and appreciate all of you guys!! You are the best!
