The last hoo~raw!

With the return of school, soccer, football, yada yada, {craziness} starting back up, we figured we had better take advantage of a free weekend and get away to, where else? Bear Lake. It was just our little family, quiet, easy, and besides a scene straight out of Arachnophobia on the boat, it was perfect. Once all of the {what seemed to be taranchula's} were taken care of (thanks hon) and the screaming subsided, it was nothin' but jammin' out to some of our favorite tunes, dancing on the swim deck, and pulling each other on the surfboard. It was beautiful. Then we couldn't resist dinner at my favorite, Cafe Sabor. I had to throw this picture in because, well, you just had to be there. I asked a dude (learned my lesson, always.ask.a.chick;) if he would be so kind as to take a picture of our fam, and this is what we got. Sorry Ry-bug, we still love you girl.
Gramy, if you are reading this, please close your eyes right now and scroll down a bit;) thanks~love ya! It was wrestle~mania for these crazy boys... very dramatic.
Parker air~born. The dude is crazy...
I love 'em straight out of bed... and oh, how i love to kiss those lips~
Then with nothing on the agenda, we headed up to Bloomington lake for a little hiking action.
My big 2nd grader... still can't get over it.
Our little lady loves loves to pick flowers, and there were plenty of wild flowers up there to choose from. It was absolutely gorgeous!
Sometimes we just need our big daddy...
When we got up to the big lake it was so peaceful and serene.
Pretty much took my breath away...
We found a quiet little spot to eat our lunch, and chat. This girl loves her daddy~
And then Nic couldn't resist the rope swing. You have to look kinda close to see him~
Needless to say, he loved it, and wanted more.
The babiest one, exploring sans shoes...
Oh! There he goes again...
This is him mid-air {obviously, ha} he somehow maneuvred himself around, and into a dive.
It was pretty sweet, i have to admit.
silly kiddos~
That water is straight glacier run-off, and very chilly!
My little cameo~ Nic insisted:)

One of the little lakes we passed as we were hiking out~
Some smooching on the trail~
These two are best buddies.
And when our adventure was done, we packed up and headed for home. Lined all of the little's up for a spiffy new haircut, a tub, and an 8:30 bedtime. You know, school night. And they lay in their beds anticipating a big day ahead. Rylie's first day of kindergarten at the 'big school', and Kade's beloved chicken sandwich. Oh, how he missed them over the summer;)
Life is so good.

In a nutshell~

Please excuse the fact that I am still posting summer events, as i am fully aware that school has indeed began. That is coming. But in my crazy little mind things have to work in chronological order, and this blog here is no different:) This summer was one of the best i can remember {i think i say that every year}. It was like we graduated to this new stage of child~rearing, where we weren't scheduled around naps, or feeding times, or worried about pushing the kiddos to the melt down point~ never a good thing. And although that makes my heart ache just a bit, it was kind of amazing. It was care~free and fun~filled. I am going to warn you, there are an unbelievable amount of pictures in this post~ what's new huh? Ha!

Kaden turned 8, which means he is a new cub scout. Ca~razzy to me! His first scouting adventure included a day camp at Camp Kiesel, and let me tell you~ he was thrilled. He even brought home a wooden snake that was pretty stellar.

Good times at the county fair...
We watched some pretty sweet wake~boarding competitions {since when is wakeboarding considered fair worthy?? Not that i am complaining} And then we met up with T~bone...
He had to be ridden'~ Parke was up first. Not quite sure about this...
Next up, the Kade-man. Ya! Arm up~ that'a boy!!
Pretty proud of his new sticker...
Snow cones are always a must~
Parker was diggin' it.
Have i ever mentioned how much i heart my family?
They are the coolest people i know~ hands down.
Austy in Bear Lake with her cupcake and a little sass~ doesn't get much cuter...
Me and my baby boy~ who just started preschool, and made his mother cry... but we are not going to talk about it right now:)
There was a family reunion at the dinosaur park. Parker was lovin' up on this velociraptor:)
Papa and the kiddos~
i love this picture~
digging for dino bones, some serious business...
Lotsa swim days at Mimi & Papa's...
Kaden mastered the art of swimming. The dude was crazy! doing flips off the diving board and everything. I was pretty darn proud of him...
The cousin's playing 'soul surfer' {if you haven't seen that movie~ you have too! darling} My personal favorite is the arm tucked into the bathing suit:) Can you see Kaden holding the shark in the top corner... it was classic!
Krewby clapping and being adorable~ poolside...
And Parker giving his Mommy a big roar! I love him in his goggles:)
Hangin' with our friends up at Pineview~
Meet Rylie's boyfriend Hunter. That's right, boyfriend. From the moment this girl could talk, she has informed us of this fact~ and she never wavers. She loves him. She gets all giddy around him. I can't even explain it??
Parke and his John Deere.
It was a gorgeous night on the water.

The kids weren't quite sure at first, but then we couldn't get them off!
Melt my lovin' heart~
A great time was had by all!
As fall is inching closer each day, I am getting just a little more excited to close this door and open a new. With new seasons, comes new opportunities.
Can't wait to see what fall might bring!
