Christmas Day

Christmas morning was so much fun! The kids woke us up around 8:00, not too early, and let us know that Santa had come. (The layout of our house doesn't really allow for us to be the first to see.) Anyways, we all went out and immediately began searching for gifts under the tree. It was kinda fun that Kaden was able to recognize his name on the tags. Notice Parker is M.I.A., the little stinker slept in until almost 10:00!! You know the rule, never wake a sleeping baby. At least that is my rule. He eventually woke up, and had fun playing with all of the paper and bows!

He even filled their stockings.
The birthday boy and his black licorice.
Playdough... always a classic.
Sis' American Girl doll she calls Tyler (sorry Ty).
Sis' new apron so she can help Mommy in the kitchen.
The dumping of the stockings...

And Kaden made a haul with the Lego's. That is pretty much all he wanted.

Koda Bear enjoying the treats Santa brought him.
Happy Birthday to you... birthday quiche? Does that count?
We went to Mimi & Papa's for brunch. We had pumpkin pancakes with cinnamon syrup, quiche, and Christmas morning casserole. It was delicious!!
Parker had such a great 1st Christmas!!

All the girls with my Grandma.
My Mom & Dad reading their poem.
Kaden's part was the Maple Garden's...
And Rylie's part was the bandaid's...
We had a great time with my family, and then we headed out to see Gramy & Papa.
Gramy & Papa reading their poem. And a group picture with everyone except for Parker, who was sleeping! (that boy kept missing the photo ops!)
Ty, Steph, and Baby Bode. Their first Christmas as a little family.
Me and my 30 year old husband!!
Steph, Erika, and Bode
Zac... Ladies he's available... Oh ya, you all are pretty much married. Well if you know of anyone... let me know!
Happy Birthday to you... this time in a slice of mud pie. Now that counts!

Parker was a happy camper after a little nap.
And the day ended in a huge sleepover bed on the floor, watching our new movie Wall-e.
Oh! And of course, Kaden could not resist bustin' into those Lego's.

What a fabulous Christmas it was. I am so thankful for the opportunity we had to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. I am thankful for his birth, his life, the example he set for us, and for his atoning sacrifice in our behalf.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!

Christmas Eve

Our Christmas Eve started off right with a knock on our door, and samples of the most beautiful and tasty fruit I've had in a long time. Of course we purchased a box and began devouring that healthful treat. We were all in heaven. We spent the day relaxing, until we loaded up and went to visit our families. Our first stop was Gramy & Papa's house.

Our last stop was Mimi & Papa's house...by this point, Parker was delirious.
The kids opening their Christmas jammies. Can you tell they are a little bit excited for the 'Jolly Old Elf' to make his visit? Twas the night before Christmas... Then we made our way back home for our own little family tradition... I told the kids they better put out some 1% for Mrs. Claus, just in case she decided to make the trip with Santa. Put out our stockings...
Then Daddy read the Christmas story, puppets and all. I sure hope Santa finds us!!

Nic's Surprise 30th Birthday Party!!

Well I couldn't let the big 3-0 come in without a bang, so I invited a few friends over to help celebrate Nic's birthday. Since his birthday is none other than Christmas day, I thought the 23rd would be more fitting for the party. It all went off perfectly as planned, and Nic couldn't have been more surprised!!

Thanks to all who helped make Nic's 30th Birthday such a great success!! It meant so much to him and me both! We love you all!!
