Exciting News

For those of you wondering who this guy is with me and my family, quit guessing because you'll never get it. I'll just have to tell you. This is Rob, my newly discovered half-brother. Yes, I have a brother. I always wanted a brother, I just never imagined I would actually ever have one. It is still a very surreal feeling. He was adopted and raised in Salt Lake City. He is 30 years old, married, and has a 1 year old little boy. He has recently been going through some health problems which persuaded him to contact his biological parents, which happens to be my Dad.As you can imagine, it has been a very emotional week for my family. We've felt excitement, confusion, curiosity, and many other unexplainable feelings. My parents met with my sisters and me last Tuesday to explain that Rob had contacted my Dad, and they had met with him and his wife. It was the weirdest moment of my life, I can tell you that much. It was a long weekend, but we were able to meet Rob and his darling family on Monday night. We all went to dinner and had such a great time. It is so interesting to see the resemblance and similarities that he and my Dad share. What a great guy! And his wife and son are equally as sweet. We are all very excited to know them, and are looking forward to getting to know them better!
What a crazy turn of events this has been. I never expected my boring little life to get so exciting, but how wonderful to be able to know Rob. It is amazing the way things work out sometimes. My parents have always said, "There is a reason for everything," and I am sure there is a reason for Rob coming into our lives. I feel so proud of him. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Baby Robins
I just had to show everyone these darling baby robins that have kept us entertained for the last couple weeks. We noticed a nest up in the tree in our front yard, and then next thing we knew there were four little blue eggs. We had a nest last year in that tree with eggs, but the eggs never hatched. There are three little babies and they are so darling. For some reason the fourth egg never hatched. It is fun to see them growing everyday and the parents are very protective of them. They are supposed to fly off this weekend and I think we are going to be out of town so I am sad to miss it. Maybe they will wait till monday--I hope!!
