Family Vacation

It was time for a much needed family vacation, so we packed up the car and headed down south toward Mimi & Papa's house. We hung out in St. George for a couple of days and had a great time with my parents. We swam, relaxed, ate yummy food (including cupcakes from my fav, 25 Main), I ran, Nic & my Dad rode bikes, there was lots of good stuff goin' on...

And then it was time to say goodbye and be on our way to Disneyland...
The next morning we woke up and got ready for a fun-filled day... do the kids look excited? Well let me tell ya, yes.they.were.
Kaden even lost a tooth, and was paid a visit from the tooth fairy. That tricky fairy found us all the way in Anaheim...
Love this...
Our first ride... the jungle cruise! Not the most exciting ride, but something about being back in Disneyland with my fam just put a big old smile right on my face.
Those are three of the cutest boys I've ever seen...
The kids were having so much fun playing ring-around-the-rosie's while we waited for the big boys to get off the Indiana Jones ride... it was pretty darn cute!
Then it was on to my all time favorite ride, Pirates of the Caribbean!! I was in heaven...
The kids loved the Mary-go-round... did I mention it was 112 degrees the first day we were there. If you notice red faces- that would be why. It was unbelievable heat! Crazy!!
With that kind of heat, ice cream was definitely a must! And if you must have ice cream in Disneyland- it must be in the form of Mickey Mouse!!
Toon Town is darling. Here is Kaden showing off his brute strength... tough buddy.
Here we are at Mickey Mouse's house with Minnie and Pluto...
This picture is way blown out, but precious to me... it's moments like those that make you want to pause life and live in that moment forever.
We had dinner at Goofy's Kitchen (as per tradition) and Goofy did not disappoint. Great times were had by all...
I think my boys had a thing for Minnie... I don't blame them, she is a doll!!
The next day we were back at it, with a little less pep in our step, but definitely enough energy left to have another great day!
It was so fun to be there with Candace and Erik & their girls. We all had so much fun together, it was some quality cousin time!
A cowboy Woody made of Lego's. Two of Kaden's favorite things combined- Awesome!! Just a little preview of what we were about to find at Lego land.
Disneyland was magical. There is nothing better than seeing the light in your children's eyes as they witness things they've only seen in movies or books. Characters are brought to real life for them, it is truly joyful! I was sad to see our days in Disneyland come to an end, but was really looking forward to a day of rest.

San Diego

After a couple days in Disneyland we were definitely ready for a lazy day, so we drove down to San Diego to hang out at the beach. It was a perfect day.
The kids were all in heaven running in and out of those waves...
I absolutely love this picture of Gracie...
Nic and I snuggling our baby...who I can't believe is getting so big!
Gracie and Rylie doin' some Yoga moves...or surfing...one of the two.
Cute Candace and Gracie having a snack on the beach...
After a long day at the beach we were all starving. We found a Tony Roma's-our favorite! And had a fabulous dinner!

Ry-bug and her Daddy...
Me and my boys...
What a fun day it was!!

Legoland

Lego land was an absolute blast! Rain or shine, this park was well worth the visit.
The look on Kaden's face when he laid eyes on this life-sized Lego guy was priceless!
The park was all decked out for Halloween, which made it even more fun!
We couldn't believe all of the amazing things they had built out of Lego's. Kaden was in heaven!!
There were some fun rides that were running off and on due to the rain. We were still able to go on the majority of them...
Parker was just strolling along, having a great old time...
Until he found this awesomeness lurking around the corner. We spent a good 20 minutes on these water guns... as if we needed more water!!
These two are such great little buds...

Rylie was loving the Lego cars...

Daddy's girl...
I love this picture of Rylie... just having so much fun!
And then there was a moment where we all just hit a wall and our vacation started to catch up with us... until we ordered up some cinnamon apple fries and fresh whipping cream that got our juices flowing again! They were delish!!

Then back to the rides it was!!
Smiles! Yay!!

This picture is the coolest! I am so glad my camera captured this... we had to do some serious coercing Kaden to even get on this 'scary' roller coaster. Once he did- he loved it!
All of a sudden this huge burst of rain came through and we found ourselves running for cover. We found refuge in this really cool building filled with Lego's!!
Even Daddy fashioned himself this awesome Lego sword...
We stayed there for quite some time...
And built many a Lego creations...
Alas, it was time to go, and our Lego fun came to an end. We loaded back into the car, and headed for Mimi & Papa's place for one last rendezvous.
7 days, 1600 miles, 2 amusement parks, 2 hotels, and x amount of $... none of us wanted to go back home. Family vacations really are the greatest. I love nothing more than having my family all together, without the interuptions of every day life, so that we can bond and built stronger relationships, and make priceless memories. And that folks, is exactly what we did! And I am forever grateful!!

Our Girl

Our sweet sis is in her second year of preschool with Miss Bonnie. She is having such a great experience so far, and has a very fun group of kids in there with her! Here she is on her first day of preschool...
Rylie loves to pick out her clothes every morning. I am learning how little control I have over my kids' wardrobe any more, but it is fun(when it's not scary) to see their own little style come out...

Rylie and her sweet friend Kendal...
The sis loves to ride her bike to school... and of course she has to go in style, sunglasses and all!
Rylie and her "all about me" poster. She worked so hard on it, and it was adorable!
Love this girl so much, she really is my best friend. She likes to tell me how to style her hair. I love that she is so much like me (although sometimes that can be tricky), but she is so fun to hang out with! I am one lucky momma!

Rylie is learning so many new things, and doing so well in school. We are excited to see her experience another fun year, and watch her blossom and grow!!
