The 80's~ Revisited

Well rat my hair, and call me psyched! I love me a good 80's party...
Me and my boy. High~school dance style...
I about had a cow seeing everyone all dressed up!
Awww... is this wicked sweet or what!?
Casey's outfit was totally tubular! Banana~clip and tube socks~ too much!
These guys are bad to the bone... fer sure! Lance, you eating that chewed~up barf flavored jelly~belly was gross~o~rama to the max! But still major funny.
Me on the mic rockin' some 80's tunes~ loved every second of it!Karaoke baby~ ya!
Kelli and Brian singing "We are the Champions"~ for their beloved Dallas Cowboys, of course. And the birthday boy did not disappoint...
Sing it baby! Y~M~C~A... it's fun to stay at the Y~M~C~A!!...
(i've never been so in love;)
Love all these bodacious babes!
Can you believe these shoes I found... so choice.
So fun to party hardy with these guys. Some serious good times!! Nic and I were lulled to sleep with some soft sounds by Kenny G on the i~phone. Gotta love the 80's~ and is it just me, or are we living a revisit. Everywhere I turn they are threatening a come back... I definitely won't complain.
(Especially if I can sport my new kicks~ i'm kinda in love with em';)

Date Night

I had a hot date last night. My parents were sweet enough to take our kiddos, and share a pair of Jazz tickets~ thanks Mimi & Papa, you are the BEST!
On our way to SLC Nic informed me he had just the spot to dine. You see, I love food. I love to explore new tastes. For whatever reason {fear} I had never tried Indian food. Isn't this facade so inviting...
I told Nic this would not go on the blog {i told a little fiblet}. Sorry hon, it was too cute not to share:)
Our appetizers were so delish! Butter chicken, and Chicken Chow Chow~ oh my...
Don't you love the silverware with their gold handles? I was swooning over them... and my date:)
I gave Indian food a two thumbs up~ and after our tummies were fully satisfied we were off to the game!
Wait, what is that tricky ol' Bear up to?? Sled? I think I know where this is going...
Wait for it...
Oh! There he goes...
At this moment I was thanking my lucky stars that I was still living, and Nic was apologizing for putting me in danger~ isn't he a sweetie? Then it was half-time, red mango time, and I was in need of a potty break. The night was going so well, until...
Duh, duh, duunnnnn....

I walked out of the ladie's room with toilet paper hanging out of my pants!
Now, I don't embarrass easily, mostly because well, I do a lot of embarrassing things. So I've never really had a 'most embarrassing moment,' until now. Let's see, where do I begin.... oh! I was on a potty break. Everything was fine, a simple potty break, as I was washing up and reapplying lip gloss this girl comes walking up behind me and gives me an interesting look. I didn't think much of it at the time, finished up and went to join my boyfriend. When I came out, the red mango line was insane! People everywhere. Nice. So I weave my way up to almost the front, where I find Nic waiting. He asks me how I'm doing, and I snuggle into his side. After a minute, this guy from across the way gestures for Nic to go over there. Nic hesitantly looks around, and the guy gives him the 'Ya, you look.' Nic goes over and the guy says to him, "Hey, I didn't want to say anything to her, but your girl has some toilet paper hanging out." Nic politely thanks him, and comes back over to me. "Who was that?" I asked. "The guy says you have some toilet paper..." Immediately I reach back and feel it!! It is totally coming out of the top of my pants!! What the?!! I quickly grab it~ gave that guy a big ol' hug, and thank him for telling me. I'm laughing, but seriously want to crawl in a hole and die!! Then I start having flashbacks of the girl in the bathroom. She totally knew~ and didn't say anything!! {jerk} I was totally boggled how in the world it even got there. My best guess is that I somehow snagged the toilet paper hanging down from the roll or something? I couldn't even enjoy my red mango I was so worked up! Here is a blurry picture of the game to clear our thoughts for a minute...
So, can you even believe it? I know. But I will say, Nic and I had some serious laughs and it felt good. Have I ever told you how fun my boyfriend is??
And I have just a small crush on the Bear too. It was such a great night~ minus the tp incident. Jazz lost in the last second by 1 point~ total bummer. My favorite play of the night was when my new fav 'In-your-face-Evans' swatted the ball away from those darn Rocket's! and his unforgettable dunk! It was awesome.
If you don't want to be my friend anymore, it's okay. I totally understand...
But will you forgive me if I show you something super cute??
And it comes in all different colors... see here.
What do ya say, give me another chance? Promise I won't do anything stupid for at least a few days:)
Thanks loves!
XO

Christmas Tag

Welcome to the Christmas Edition of getting to know me!! I found this on my friend Mindi's blog, and since I don't have much else to do...ha ha ha... I thought I would give it a go. Please understand, it is late...and I am feeling a little sassy. Okay, you've been warned.

My one-eared Mickey ornament courtesy of Oakley Cypers. She just couldn't resist that big sparkling beauty of an ornament. Every year I put it on the tree it makes me smile.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Bags throughout the year, but paper at Christmas!!
2. Real tree or Artificial? I know we are lame, but I sure do love my wondrous artificial pines. I burn a pine candle for that oh so Christmasy smell!
3. When do you put up the tree? Day after Thanksgiving.
4. When do you take your tree down? January 2nd!! Can't wait to get it up...can't wait to get it down.
5. Do you like eggnog? Yes, but it is so rich I can only have a little sip or two. Either that, or dilute it with a little milk...yummy!!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Hmmmm...probably my American Girl Doll Samantha (Rylie's new best friend, so darling).
7. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes, I got it for my birthday the first year we were married. It is the Demdaco one. I really love it.
8. Hardest person to buy for? My parents and my in law's! They already have everything. Any ideas would be fantastic!!
9. Easiest person to buy for? Nic (although he can be tricky because his birthday is Christmas day, so I have to do double duty!), and the kids.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail for sure. I am still adjusting to the high-tech world we live in. Slowly but surely...maybe one day you will receive an e-card from me. Don't hold your breath.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? My darling Grandpa, bless his heart, gave me a my-size barbie when I was a sophomore in high school. Ha ha ha... love that man.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? All of them. From the old school Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman (which we are watching on almost a daily basis), to the newer ones. We just watched 'It's a Wonderful Life' tonight. Love it, it makes me cry every time. Wait!!! What am I saying! I have always loved Dr. Seuss' The Grinch. Definitely my favorite!! Still love the others, but Grinch wins.
(that worked out nicely that 'The Grinch' one was highlighted in green wouldn't you think?)
13. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Ha ha ha... shamefully yes. I couldn't possibly keep all of those wonderful gifts for silly little me. Tis the season to give and share. Besides, what else would we get our chuckles from. Nic and I find it quite amusing. I highly recommend it. (I know we are embarassing. I understand if no one wants to be our friends anymore.)
14. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Honey Baked ham, fudge, caramel, divinity, bacon wrapped water chestnuts, Christmas cookies, gingerbread houses, candy canes, my aunt Karen's twice-baked potatoes, homemade chocolates...mmm...I'm hungry.
15. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Clear.
16. Clear or colored lights on the house? Red, Green, and Clear...is what is in the box that came with the house, but I don't know if I will ever actually see them on the house. It is too tall to let my dear husband up there, and too darn expensive to have someone come do it.
17. Favorite Christmas song? All of them!! They are all wonderful. Oh, that song about the Christmas shoes. "Sir I wanna buy these shoes...for my momma please" I can't not cry. I've tried.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? I don't leave home on a regular day, why would I wanna go away for Christmas?
19. Can you name all of Santa 's reindeer? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, but do you recaaaallll....the most famous reindeer of aaalllllll...RUDOLF!!
20. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Jammies Christmas eve. Presents Christmas day.
21. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Honestly... keeping everyone happy.
22. Favorite ornament theme or color? I love the traditional Christmas colors, red, green and white. All of my decorations stick pretty close to those. Lots of sentiment in my ornaments.
23. What do you want for Christmas this year? Nothing. I just got spoiled rotten for my birthday. Maybe a smooch under the mistletoe... maybe from a certain 'St. Nicholas!'
24. What is your favorite Christmas memory? Oh wow, I don't know. I just remember how magical Christmas was as a child. One year I stayed up waiting for Santa to come. I swear to this day I heard his jingle bells in my living room. Believing is powerful beyond my wildest childhood dreams. I also used to love driving around looking at Christmas lights. I wanted so bad for our house to be one of those ones...you know, that look like a miniature Christmas Village. Look at me now, not a twinkle of a light on the exterior of my house. Bahumbug!!

I am going to tag everyone who reads this!! Now hurry, Santa's elves are watching!! (oh, I am going to be so sad when I can't threaten that anymore)

7 things...

So I have things that I really NEED to be posting, like trips to pumpkin patches and Halloween parties, but no I am going to reply to a tag I received from my good friend Jenni. Thanks Jen for the tag. So here goes.

7 things I can do:
- Shake a leg. I grew up dancing. I really love to dance, but sadly can't do much anymore.
- Cook and Bake. I LOVE trying new recipes, and making things from scratch (when I have time).
- Relax. I love to be home in my jammies. My neighbors probably think I'm a big slug, and I am rubbing off on my kids....ooops!
- Run. I have run half-marathons, but have yet to take on the full...someday.
- Talk with the best of them. I am "WINDY" as Nic calls it. I often times have to remind myself to shut up.
- Wake board. I'm not awesome- but Holy Cow!! I love it!!
- Snuggle and read to my kids for hours on end... if it weren't for those darn responsibilities that tend to interrupt! I would be perfectly happy laying in my p.j.'s in a pile of blankets, pillows, and good old fashioned children's stories with my kids ALL DAY!!

7 things I can't do:
- Lie (I'm a terrible liar, I get the smirky grin and pink face...every time)
- Sing. Although I like to. I was definitely NOT blessed with a good voice.
- Keep up with my house lately. My laundry pile is big enough to eat me. Yikes!
- Speak in public (without nearly wetting my pants). It is a fear I hope to one day overcome... I am beginning to think that day might never come.
- Play sports. People are always trying to recruit me to play basketball, volleyball, softball, etc. Maybe because I am tall. But trust me... you do NOT want me on your team!!
- Seem to catch up on my sleep. Hhmmm...I wonder why. If I was SLEEPING instead of BLOGGING!!!! It is my own fault!!
- Say "No" to my kids' cute faces sometimes. They are just too irresistible...I give in.

7 things that attract me to my hubby:
- His way with people. He is kind to everyone and I love that about him.
- He makes me laugh and he thinks I'm funny. I love to get him rolling.
- His rockin' butt in his basketball compression shorts (spandex). Gets me every time.
- He's fun. He plays SO cute with the kids, wrestles and tosses them into the air, gives shoulder-rides (even I get one sometimes, until I freak out and beg to get down), sings loud, blares music through the house, talks in funny and scary voices, and although sometimes can be obnoxious, our house would get pretty dull without him in it.
- He is very sensitive to others feelings, especially mine and the kids. He is always making sure I am happy.
- His cute face and big muscles. He always thinks he needs to go the gym to pump some more iron, but I think he always looks good.
- He is always working so hard, and I know it is all for us. He wants to provide me and the kids the best life, and that is so endearing.

7 things I always say:
- Really?
- Perfect.
- How was your day?
- Do you know how much I love you?
- Hi biggest boy. (to Parker Frett)
- Not until after breakfast/lunch/dinner! (to my kids wanting TREATS all the time!!)
- We do not hit or kick our brother/sister!! We LOVE each other!!
Thought of a couple more...
- What sounds good for dinner?
- BE CAREFUL!!!

7 things I love to eat:
- Sushi
- Cafe Rio sweet pork salad and chips & queso
- Tepanyaki (my birthday is coming, and I can't wait to go there)
- Milk and homemade cookies
- Peach pie
- Fresh fruit
- Pasta

7 people I tag:
- Candace
- Cassie
- Steph (ha! now you HAVE to do a post!!)
- Erika (you too woman)
- Erica
- Anyone else who reads this!! Yes that means YOU!!
