An {Egg}stremely Long Post

Easter weekend this year was {egg}stra special. Why you ask? Well because the weekend was filled with eggs, and hunts, candy, and family, inspiring words from our prophets and leaders, and a celebration of the life and atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ. Yes, it was all things happy.
We got to spend Saturday morning with my sweet Grandma for an Easter brunch and egg hunt.
Aunt Candace dividing up the eggs...we kinda missed the egg hunt, and they were nice enough to share. Thanks guys!
Kaden and his Daddy... couple of cuties if you ask me.
When the Easter bunny showed up it was pretty exciting! Halli and Austyn ran up to give him a big hug!!

Me and two of my favorite ladies...

Later we went home and colored our Easter eggs...

The finished products... at least a few of them.
Parker thought it was more fun to crush his egg into a million pieces, and make it into soup. Hey, whatever floats your boat bud...
Next, we were off to Gramy & Papa's house for some more hunting, and more fun!!
Parker just couldn't wait to get his hands on that candy!

You're getting warmer...warmer...wait!! colder...
This is the most precious picture I've seen in a while...

Bode and Parker hangin' out. It's a little tricky to get both of these guys looking at the same time. They are getting to be such good buds.
Easter morning we woke up to a maze of string. That Easter bunny had some new tricks up his sleeve this year...
Kaden wasn't quite sure of it. Actually, nobody was...

Our strings led us out the back door...
And out to the tree house... to our baskets!! By now they were starting to get the hang of it.
Then the kids hunted for treasures to fill up their baskets...

Once again we were showered with kisses from that lovely bunny...
Looks like a pretty good sugar buzz to me...
When Parker woke up he was pretty stoked about his finds. This kid loves sugar more than any of us!
We had brunch at my parents house on Easter morning, and I forgot my camera. I'll have to gather some pictures from them later, because we sure had a blast!! It was such a wonderful weekend. It left me feeling very blessed. Hope your weekend went {egg}septionally well too!!

Yay, you have two new posts!! Chicago looked so fun, and you looked bootimous in all of the pics. I'm jelous, I want to go on a fun romantic trip like that. We need to make more time for those. Your Easter looked like a ton of fun. Your kids look so cute painting their eggs, and searching for their Easter basket treasures in their cute jammies. And of course, we had a lot of fun with you guys at Mom and Dad's on Easter. The kids are at the funnest ages right now!! We're excited to see you tomorrow night!!
